MSI, Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry recently announced their 2020 free days for Illinois residents. Chicago’s South Side tribute to science and technology has educated and inspired generations of Chicagoans and continues to spark the curiosity more than a million visitors per year.
What will you do once inside the Western Hemisphere’s largest science museum? You can see more than 25 trains make the journey from Chicago to Seattle in the Great Train Story. Shake off cabin fever with a run inside a human-sized hamster wheel. Climb aboard a massive tractor and follow the fascinating journey of food and how it travels from the farm to your table. Peek inside the whimsical Colleen Moore’s Fairy Castle, complete with a pair of Cinderella’s tiny glass slippers. Experiment with light to create a giant 30-foot rainbow.
In 2019, Illinois residents can get into MSI for free on:
January 7-10, 14-17, 21-24, 28-31
February 4-7, 11-14, 19-21, 25-28
