Are you just beginning to code or want to start but are afraid it will be too challenging? Well, we encourage you to get out there and dive right in because YOU Can Code!
In this workshop, students will use Blockly, a drag and drop language to interface with the memory of the computer. We will be trying a number of puzzles, mazes and games to explore sequential events, selection and repetition. Students will also begin to learn to code using real language with CodinGame, a free online program that allows coders at any stage to improve their coding skills by solving the World’s most challenging problems, learn new concepts, and get inspired by the best developers. After, students will be able to access these web pages and more at home to continue their learning.
Paid parking available in the downstairs lot. Quincy station and Washington/Wells stop for public transit. Check in at the front desk in the lobby. Please bring a laptop. Snacks will be provided.
