You might have read recently that Field Museum is making some big changes soon! Sue, the lovely T-Rex that greets visitors by the entrance, is going to be getting a new home inside the Field Museum and a ginormous Titanosaur will be the new museum greeter. When my family heard the news, we were quite sad. Whenever we visit the museum, we always snap a picture with Sue. My 11-year-old said we needed to head over and say good-bye to T-Rex before she moves. Luckily for us, The Field Museum Free Days are coming up soon.
That’s right, any Illinois resident with a valid ID get free entry to the museum during free admission days. In addition, the special exhibits are discounted as well. That means you can travel to Ancient Egypt, head over to a Pawnee Earth Lodge, learn about meteorites and of course travel all the way back in time and see dinosaur fossils and get one last picture with Sue before she heads to her new home all without paying an entrance fee!
