We know that you’re eager for the 2017 Camp Guide. It’s in the works, we promise. In the meantime, we’re thrilled to announce that Galileo Innovation Camps returned as our lead sponsor. Even better, they are not only back in Chicago, but they are expanding.
Yes, this year Galileo Innovation Camps will have
four SIX sites in Chicago!
In addition to Lincoln Park (Oscar Mayer Magnet School), Winnetka (Sacred Heart School) and Arlington Heights (St. Peter Lutheran School), they are adding camps in Oak Park, LaGrange and Evanston (St. Joan of Arc School). And not just Evanston, but Evanston close to Skokie, which has been missing a camp like this for a few years now.
At Galileo, they believe that summer camp should be crazy fun and profoundly enriching at the same time. That’s why their summertime silliness is backed by thoughtful curriculum and an audacious educational approach that inspires kids to become bold, visionary innovators. Staffed by the best instructors in the business, they run engaging camps to inspire kids from pre-K all the way through 8th grade:
- Camp Galileo (rising K – 5th graders): Art, science and outdoor activities wrapped in four fresh weekly themes. This summer, your camper could embark on a sweeping safari adventure, undertake an epic quest to a land of mighty monarchs and noble knights, make marvelous inventions that really move, or create an innovative amusement park.
- Galileo Summer Quest (5th – 8th graders): 12 majors that let kids realize their personal vision in the subject of their choice including Go-Kart Builders, YouTube Producers, Chefology, Mod Design with Minecraft and more.
(Yes, kids entering 5th grad can choose either camp.)
Register and Save
Registration is now open for the summer of 2017!
You can register your child for a single week, but they’ll probably want more. The Galileo team recommends at least three weeks, which also gives campers a chance to dive into different topics as they explore, innovate and invent. The more weeks you book, the more you save each week, on top of the early bird discount. In addition, if you refer a new family to the camp, you’ll both save!
The camps offer extended care hours and may some financial assistance.
Check them out today and stay on the look out for this:
